Recruitment Process

The recruitment process for Special Constables is:

Stage 1

Return your completed application form to the Recruitment Team - application forms and supporting information can be downloaded from the How to Apply page.

Stage 2

Your written ability will be assessed using the application form. Only candidates that meet the required standard will progress on to the next stage.

Stage 3

Candidates who have met the selection criteria will then be invited to attend an interview.

Stage 4

Your application will be sent for security, vetting and financial checks. We will also request references.

Stage 5

The final stage of the process is a medical examination with our Occupational Health Service. If successful here you will be invited to start on the next available intake.
