Police are warning drivers after a spike in theft from cars in Lincoln.
In the last 24-hours or so cars in Edwards Drive, Westgate, Kesteven Street, Wragby Road, Chaplin Street and Charles Street West have all been broken into. Property including sat navs, mobile phones, Ipods, bags, cheques and cash have all been stolen.
All of these cars had property on display and that is why they were targeted. Drivers are being urged to never leave anything valuable in their cars when they are left unattended.
Patrols are being stepped up to target this issue and the public are being urged to report any suspicious activity around cars immediately. They are also being urged to report anyone suspected of handling stolen goods.
